Both Sky Sports and Central news claimed on Tuesday that Blues have put in an offer of around £6.5 million for the Serbia and Montenegro international who has bagged 22 goals in 24 appearances for PSV so far this season, including a hat-trick in their 5-0 win against FC Groningen on Sunday.
The 25-year-old forward, who will be in England this week for his clubs UEFA Cup quarter final 2nd leg tie against Newcastle Utd at St James' Park, still has one year left to run on his contract at the Dutch side but has expressed a desire to play in the English Premiership.
