The 27-year-old keeper has joined Blues for an undisclosed fee and has penned a three year contract at St Andrews.
Leamington Spa-born Foster is seen by Blues boss Alex McLeish as the ideal replacement for last season's number one Joe Hart, who has now returned to Manchester City following the expiry of his season-long loan deal at St Andrews.
