Sullivan told the Birmingham Evening Mail that Danish international winger Gronkjaer is, according to his agent, swaying towards a move to St Andrew's in preference to joining Spanish side Sevilla.
He also added that Blues boss Steve Bruce is to fly out to Amsterdam this week to begin talks with Dutch full back Melchiot.
