Defender Painter, who is a regular in Blues Reserves side but is yet to play in the first team, has been named in manager Sean McCaffrey's squad for the Porto International Tournament where the Irish will play against the Ukraine, Portugal and Norway.
The tournament begins on Tuesday when the Ireland Under 19's face the Ukraine.
