Both the Birmingham Mail and the Express & Star have reported that Blues are keen on signing the 34-year-old Baggies striker who has turned down the offer of a new one year deal at The Hawthorns.
The former Watford, Sunderland, Southampton and Aston Villa forward is believed to have been offered a two year contract by Blues.
