Chelsea secured all three points from the Barclays Premier Reserves League South fixture at St Andrews when Fabio Borino netted the only goal of the game 15 minutes from the end of the match.

To add to Blues' woe midfielder Michel was shown a straight red card late on for a foul on Chelsea defender Danny Mills which will mean he will have to serve an automatic three match suspension, which will include first team games.

Chelsea also finished the game with ten men as defender Seth Ofori-Twumasi was shown a second yellow card for his reactions to Michel's foul.

On a positive note, Lee Carsley completed the first forty five minutes for Blues' second string in what was his first match action since he sustaned an ankle injury in the FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest in January.
