Blues Stay Ninth

Going into Sundays fixtures the Villa were the only side who could have leap-frogged Blues but their failure to beat Arsenal saw them slip to twelth place and 3 points adrift of us.

Southamptons 2-1 victory over Leeds at St. Mary's on Saturday took them one place above Blues on goal difference and sent the financially strapped Yorkshire side to rock-bottom of the table.
