The nineteen-year-old keeper, who earned rave reviews for his performances for Cameroon in the recent Confederations Cup tournament in France, is expected to sign for Wolves on a season-long loan from Le Havre.

"Carlos looks set to join Wolves. It is a loan deal for the whole of next season with the option of a permanent move for £2million," the player's agent, Willie McKay, said.

"He was outstanding in the Confederations Cup and a number of clubs have expressed an interest in him. He is keen to try his luck in England and is looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Premiership."

Blues boss Steve Bruce seems to have turned his attentions to taking a close look at Brazilian keeper Adriano Basso.
