The Spaniard was shown a straight red card for an altercation with Chelsea defender Danny Mills towards the end of Blues Reserves' 1-0 defeat at St Andrews on Wednesday night.
The club have, however, confirmed that they are to appeal the dismissal which if upheld would mean Michel would have to sit out Blues last three Premier League fixtures.
