Media reports are suggesting that Bowyer was spotted at Blues' Wast Hills training ground on Wednesday.
Former Blues boss Steve Bruce tried to bring Bowyer to St Andrws when he was a Newcastle United player back in 2005 but a section of Blues fans formed a petition to protest against his signing because of his off-the-field activities and the deal fell through.
Now it seems that Blues are in discussions once again into trying to sign the 32-year-old midfielder on loan.
