Bruce confirms interest in Chelsea keeper

Bruce has made no secret of his desire to sign an experienced keeper in time for the start of the new season with just one keeper in Ian Bennett available for selection at the moment.

Blues missed out on Arsenal keeper David Seaman who chose Manchester City in preference to a return to St. Andrew's and Bruce as been linked with others such as Roy Carroll at Manchester United, Middlesbrough's Mark Crossley and Thomas Sorensen at Sunderland.

Dutchman de Goey would be available on a Bosman free-transfer after being released by Chelsea at the end of last season although Blues would face competition from other club's for his signature should Bruce follow up his interest.
