The influential Blues midfielder has been nursed slowly back into first team action following his latest spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Dunn has been used by Steve Bruce as a substitute in the recent games against Charlton, Lincoln and Bolton Wanderers but the Blues boss has hinted he could be ready use Dunn from the start of the game against Graeme Souness' side at St Andrew's this sunday afternoon.

Australian winger Stan Lazaridis is unlikely to return to the Blues squad this weekend having spent the past five weeks out with the thigh injury he sustained in Blues' only league win this season against Manchester City in August.

Lazaridis was reported to have returned to full team training this week but is said to be still about two weeks away from a full recovery.
