Benno has been given a testimonial for 10 years service and a Blues side will play the Jamaica international side at St. Andrew's as reward for his services to the club.

Bruce has also stated that he will begin talks with the 1993 signing from Peterborough over an extension on his contract, which expires in the summer, once the game is over.

"Benno has looked a class act over the last few weeks. Since what happened at Bolton he has come back into the team and looked a very, very good goalkeeper," Bruce told listeners to Capital Gold radio after Sunday's draw with West Ham.

"I hope that the Birmingham fans can dig deep in their pockets to come out for his night.

"For someone to do 10 years service at a club like ours is a magnificent achievement. We have offered him a new contract and we will sit down and talk with his agent.

"I want him to stay and he knows the score."

Benno became former manager Barry Fry's first signing for the club back in 1993 and the Peterborough boss is expected to pick a side of former Blues favourites for one half of the game against Jamaica - so don't sit too close to the dug-out!!
