Bruce, son of manager Steve Bruce, has joined Rovers on loan until 22nd January 2006 with a view to extending that until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old defender has yet to play a senior game for Blues since moving to St Andrews from Blackburn Rovers last January. He spent time on loan at both Oldham Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday last season.
