The Tunisian international midfielder is currently on a season long loan deal at St Andrew's having joined the club during the January transfer window and despite the fact that he has started in only two of Blues games since then, Bruce has admitted that he has seen enough of Nafti to want to try and turn the loan move into a permanent deal. "I have seen enough to realise that Nafti would be a valuable addition to the squad if circumstances allowed," Bruce has said. "There are still some issues with his club, where he has another year left of his contract and we will see how it goes. "But he has fitted in very well at Birmingham and you saw against Chelsea just what he is capable of producing."
Nafti still has a year to run on his contract at Spanish side Racing Santander.
