Bruce praise for Kenna

Last updated : 01 December 2002 By Brian Cartlidge
Kenna's equaliser for Blues was his first goal in the top flight since April 1995 and manager Bruce was delighted for the Blues defender: "It's his first goal for seven years and it was no less than we deserved. It would have been an injustice if we had not got something out of the game.

"We created the better chances and Tottenham's only shot produced a goal.

"Jeff came on a free transfer from Blackburn and he has been a great signing for us. He hasn't been able to train because of this Achilles injury and he really needs a month's rest so it can heal.

"But he has been so professional he's even moved over to left-back to help us out because we tried six or seven people there and he's helped to make us defensively sound."
