The Tunisian international put in an eye-catching permformance in the middle of the park in what was only his second start since moving to St Andrew's on a season long loan deal from Racing Santander during the January transfer window.
"I think he was arguably our best player," Bruce said after the game.
"He's been itching and jumping at the bit to get a start, its only his second game in about three months, so considering all that he's done very, very well."
