Reports in last weekends tabloids suggested that the Blues boss was interested in taking the player on loan from Fenerbahce but Bruce says there is no truth in these stories.
Van Hooijdonk was the subject of transfer speculation involving Blues two seasons ago and it appears that because the Blues boss is on the look-out for a striker the Dutchman's name automatically became linked with Blues once again.
To be honest I don't believe Van Hooijdonk would be the answer to our goalscoring problems anyway and he comes with quite a reputation too.
