Bruce warns of complacency

Blues go into Saturday lunchtimes derby game with The Baggies, five points clear of the dreaded drop zone but there are still eight games to play and Bruce says the job is not done yet.

"There is still much work to be done. The whole situation can change within a weekend," Bruce told the Birmingham Post

"If we get beaten, and the two teams chasing us end up winning, then we would find ourselves right in amongst it again. There will be no easing up.

"We have to ensure we remain focused. We can't be complacent in this league. We're not good enough to be able to be complacent. If we're complacent, we've got no chance.

"History tells you that 38 points might be enough but I don't think we can rely on it. We might need a bit more, we might need a bit less," he added.

"But the fact of the matter is that we have got eight games left with five of them at home and we want to cross the finishing line as soon as possible."
