Bruce is continuing to re-shape his squad for Blues first season in the Premiership by releasing Jon McCarthy, Danny Sonner and Dele Adebola.

All three were soon to see their contracts at the club expire and Bruce has chosen not to renew them and make them available on Bosman transfers.

McCarthy is the only one of the three to have played a first team game since Bruce took over the helm at St. Andrew's and Stoke are believed to be showing an interest in the former Northern Ireland international winger.

Midfielder Sonner has stated that other club's have shown an interest in signing him.

I don't think the news that these one-time first team players are being released will come as a major shock to most Blues fans but we at Singing The Blues would like to wish all three every success in their future careers.
