Bruce's midfield dilemna

With Robbie Savage beginning a two game ban for collecting ten bookings this season, Bruce has to decide who will occupy the important role of breaking up the Spurs midfield threat.

Senegal international Aliou Cisse is still struggling with a calf injury leaving Bruce with a choice of bringing in Darren Carter, Polish international Piotr Swierczewski or Bryan Hughes, the latter having picked up a slight groin strain while captaining the reserves side in Mondays B'ham Senior Cup success at Walsall.

Another option could be to play Paul Devlin wide on the right and switch the versatile Damien Johnson into central midfield, a position he plays in while representing Northern Ireland.

One things for sure - Bruce will be hoping that all his players currently on international duty come back unscathed as Blues go into a crucial period where points are still neeeded to secure Premiership status.
