The highly-rated young Blues keeper played the full ninety minutes as John Peacock's team won 3-0 in their second match of the tournament in Portugal on Sunday.
They had previously begun the tournament with a 1-1 draw against France on Saturday without Butland being involved.
England U17's play their final match of the tournament against the host nation at the Parque Desportivo de Nora in Ferreiras on Tuesday.
