The Northern Ireland under-21 international left back turned out for the Pilgrims in their league game against Wycombe on Saturday and impressed their manager Paul Sturrock.

Capaldi, a regular in the Reserve team, never played a first-team game for Blues after signing professional forms at St. Andrew's in 1998 and was told last week that his contract at the club would not be renewed when his present deal runs out in the summer.
