Carter gets England under-19 call-up

Carter has been told he could be away with the squad from July 13th until July 29th if England were to progress to the final stages of the tournament.

This could mean him missing most of Blues' pre-season friendly games, including those north of the border at Livingston, Motherwell and Partick.

Blues cannot request that Carter be excused because FIFA regulations say he must be released because the games in Norway are not friendlies.
