Carter in contract talks

Last updated : 16 November 2002 By Brian Cartlidge
Carter's present contract runs until 2004 and Blues are keen to reach an agreement that will keep him at the club for longer than that.

"We've been negotiating a new contract and, hopefully, in the next few weeks or so everything will be sorted out," Carter told the B'ham Evening Mail.

"I want to sign with the club. Blues have helped me through the youth and reserve team and now we're in the Premiership.

"I still think I've got a lot more to give and it would be great if I could stay here for a while."
