Carter Plays In Young Lions Defeat

In their second group game against Egypt in Dubai, Les Reed's side needed a result having lost against Japan on Saturday but they went down by the only goal of the game scored by Emad Motab midway through the second half.

The young England Lions now play Colombia in their final group game on Friday but their chances of qualifying for the later stages of the competition are remote following this latest defeat in which Carter once again played for the full ninety minutes.

England have no points from their two games played whilst Egypt moved on to four points having drew with Colombia at the weekend. Japan, already with three points after their win over England, play Colombia later today.
