Cisse admits Blues can play better

"We didn't play very well at Southampton, the performance was not good," the Blues midfielder told the B'ham Evening Mail.

"Usually, we play a lot better than that and we will have to work hard this week in training. They were very physical and strong, a good team.

"I think we are also a good team but we are not always showing it, like the way we did against Bolton, Sunderland and Tottenham.

"It is worrying when you are beaten like that but we are not thinking about the bottom of the table, we have the players and the spirit to move up."

Cisse also welcomed the impending arrival of Senegal team-mate Ferdinand Coly: "I am happy he is coming here, he is a very good player who was being looked at by a lot of clubs.

"He is quick, athletic and physical. Football in England will not be a problem to him. It is very good business for Birmingham to get him.

"He will help us because he can play in a couple of different positions.

"I know he is looking forward to playing for Birmingham and I am sure he will be successful."
