Cisse Salute Committee Update

Last updated : 06 November 2002 By Brian Cartlidge
"Lots of people helped with the collection on Saturday, thanks to you all.

We managed to collect £1816.02 in the buckets on Saturday. This is a brilliant amount. When we add to it the £372 that Dave Thomas has collected by selling Made In Brum at 50p above cover price, we shall be transferring £2188.02 to the Disaster fund. We have managed to get Lloyds bank to transfer free of charge, so this money will go straight into the Disaster fund account.

Our purpose was to demonstrate to Cisse our thoughts for him and to make a
contribution to others affected by the disaster - not just a gesture, but try to help others too.

We had three objectives when we started, a condolence message board, the Tilton flag, and a collection. Thanks to a lot of hard work, contributions both in time and materials and assistance from many people, we have achieved all three and can feel proud of the amount collected.

Thanks to all who contributed to the collection - it may not make a lot of difference but every little will help to bring relief to the families affected by the loss of their loved ones."
