The influential midfielder has been in contact with Bruce and he will return to training at Wast Hills next monday.
“Aliou and I have spoken, he has apologised and he will be returning to the club on the Monday after the Malaysia tournament ends,” Bruce told the Birmingham Evening Mail .
“Since he has been back in France we have had no interest in him, no calls from other clubs.
“Do I think the penny has dropped with Aliou? We’ll have to wait and see.
“There is still a chance he can come back and fit in, so long as he takes on board my reasons for doing what I did in the first place.
“A fully-fit, fully-focused Aliou Cisse is one hell of a player to have in a squad.”
