Cisse's Blues career may not be over

Bruce placed the Senegal international midfielder on the list after he turned up over an hour late for the start of pre-season training on Thursday.

However reports suggest that Cisse, who reported to Wast Hills with an injury problem, has been told to go away and consider his future and come back to the club when his mind is focussed.

Cisse has had an horrendous year, firstly he lost many members of his family in the Senegal boat tragedy at the end of last year, then he got injured in the away game at Blackburn in January.

Despite an expected return to first-team action against Chelsea in February, the Senegal international skipper then picked up a calf injury in training and didn't appear in a Blues shirt for the remainder of the season.

And now, after failing to turn-up for training last week because he thought he wasn't expected back until this week and then showing up late on Thursday, Cisse faces a maximum club fine and has been placed on the transfer list.

We sincerely hope the player will go away, get fit and come back to St.Andrew's the player he was when he came to the club last summer from France, prove to Bruce that he is focussed and come off the transfer list - that seems highly unlikely at this time however!
