The Blues midfielder was barely used towards the end of last season as Blues were relegated from the Premiership but this term he has played a big part in helping the club's push for an immediate return to the top flight. "There have been times when I've come out of the team when it has been difficult to look after myself because your head does get down," he has said.
"There have been occasions where I have thought about moving on. But I do believe I am good enough to play in this team.
"When we got relegated, having not really played much last season, I really saw it as a challenge to make sure we got back up and to contribute a massive part.
"The only place you can do that is on the pitch and thankfully I've got that opportunity again. I feel happy with my form and I just want to stay in the side now."
