Clem Turns Down Northern Ireland

The Blues midfielder qualified to play for Lawrie Sanchez's side through an Irish grandmother but he has told the Northern Ireland boss he would prefer to concentrate on securing his first team place in the Blues side in preference to playing in Irelands World Cup qualifying campaign.

Clemence would have joined Blues pair Damien Johnson and Maik Taylor in the Northern Ireland squad had he decided to play.
