Clemence Could Get Northern Ireland Call

Should the Blues midfielder, who qualifies for selection because his Grandmother was born in Northern Ireland, be named in an Irish squad he would bring the total number of Blues players representing the country to three.

Maik Taylor and Damien Johnson are already a big part of the recently appointed Northern Ireland managers plans and had Clemence not have already planned a summer break he could well have been playing with his Blues team-mates in their three game tour of The Caribbean this week.

The Ireland side play their first game of that tour against Barbados at The Kensington Oval later today.
