Clinton gets Ireland call-up

Morrison, whose only first team start so far this season was in the Carling Cup defeat at Blackpool, has been named in Ireland boss Brian Kerr's 22-man squad for the vital game with the Swiss in Basel on October 11th.

Defender Kenny Cunningham is not included in the squad, however, he was booked in the Republic's last group ten qualifier against Russia at Landsdowne Road and will be serving a one match ban.
