The Republic of Ireland international has been unhappy at being unable to command a regular starting place in Bruce's side and although the Blues boss has made it clear that he would like Morrison to stay with the club the player says he needs to know if he will be a regular in his manager's first team plans next season.

"I just want to have my chance to show what I can do," Morrison revealed.

"I will have a meeting with my agent and the boss soon and I will say that I just want to play as much as possible.

"I am not one of those guys who just sits there and collects his wage packet and is happy with it. The manager has spoken to me and he says he wants me to sign and that I am part of his plans.

"I will have to see what happens. I love Birmingham and I want to stay, but it is important for me to be playing at this time of my career.

"In the summer I will have a decision to make. Maybe I will have to move on but I hope not. The only way I will sign is if I am going to be playing."
