Cunningham Facing One Game Ban

Last updated : 10 May 2004 By Brian Cartlidge

The Blues skipper was dismissed by referee Steve Dunn 64 minutes into the game for bringing down Steven Gerrard when the Liverpool skipper had a clear run on goal.

Cunningham will now be forced to sit out Blues' first game of next season for his actions - whoever that may be against.

Second half substitute Aliou Cisse received his fifth yellow card of the season against the Reds and he also misses the first game of the new season.
