Defender returns to action

Williams, who is on a season long loan with the Second division side, was stretchered off after only eight minutes of QPR's home game against Cheltenham last month with what was thought to be a recurrence of an ankle ligament injury that kept him sidelined for nearly three months earlier in the season.

However, scans on the injury revealed a slight tear to his ankle ligament which kept him out of action for only a fortnight and he came through Rangers' reserve team defeat to Swindon on Tuesday afternoon unscathed.

Williams, a £350,000 signing from Peterborough in March last year, was loaned out for the season to the London club back in August last year.
