Devlin gets Scotland call-up

Devlin is a born-and-bred Brummie but his father is from Glasgow which allows him to represent Scotland at international level and he becomes the latest English-born player to be handed a call-up.

The Blues winger has been making overtures in recent weeks about his availabilty for the Scots saying: "I'd love the chance to play for Scotland. My dad would be thrilled, as would the rest of my family.

"They are going through a bit of a bad time at the moment. If I was to get involved and could help, then that would be great.

"Who wouldn't want to play international football?"

Scotland boss Vogts said during a press conference that he had monitored Devlin's performances this season: "I have watched him on TV and received good reports."
"I spoke to him yesterday (Tuesday) and now I have the opportunity to watch him in training in the build up to the game."
