The report in the Mail says "Blues are understood to be investigating the possibilities of capitalising on the Italian forward's uncertain future in east London when the transfer window opens next month."

The local paper says that Blues manager Steve Bruce declined to comment when asked if Di Canio was on his wish list, saying he never responds to "speculation". It is not my policy to speak about players who are at other clubs either."
