Melchiot has missed Blues last two games against Arsenal and Villa and is likely to be sidelined for at least another month with a kneee ligaments injury.
Meanwhile Clemence, who lasted just 39 minutes of Sundays defeat to Villa, is also looking at being out for about the same time with a calf injury.
