The young keeper, who has been on loan at Colin Lee's sdie for almost a month, has returned to St Andrew's early because of Nico Vaesen's sending off in the 4-1 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday evening.
Vaesen will now serve an automatic one game ban and so Doyle is likely to go straight into the first team squad as deputy keeper to Maik Taylor for the Carling Cup tie against Manchester Utd at St Andrew's on Tuesday night
