The Blues keeper has been called up by Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni for the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria in Sofia on Saturday, 6th June.
Doyle's call-up has come about after West Brom keeper Dean Kiely left the squad ahead of Friday's friendly against Nigeria having been told by Trapattoni that he wouldn't be playing in the match at Craven Cottage which ended in a 1-1 draw.
