Dugarry debut delights Bruce

Dugarry made an impressive debut that took away some of the disappointment from a resounding defeat to the Premiership champions elect.

"Dugarry was absolutely magnificent on his home debut. He was the highlight for me," said Bruce.

"Let's be brutally honest, he could have played in their team.

"He will be a massive player for us and I am delighted we have got him. He's fantastic in the air which I knew was a big asset of his and you can tell why he has won so many caps for France.

"I took him off near the end because I didn't want him to get injured with ten minutes to go. The game was lost and I wanted to protect him."
