Dugarry touched by fans reaction

A standing ovation greeted his substitution five minutes from time and it was clear for all to see that after just 85 minutes in a Blues shirt he had already become a hero with the St. Andrew's faithful.

"The supporters were fantastic. They kept singing for us even when we were losing," said Dugarry.

"The reaction to me when I came off was special. It touched me."

Dugarry, who was besieged by autograph-hunters in the Main Stand car park after his first Premiership game, added: "It is a very good championship.

"The most important thing in England is to play, play, play.

"In Italy, they do not want you to lose. Here, they want you to win. I enjoy that."
