The influential midfielder, who has been plagued by injury since his move from Rovers in the summer of 2003, sustained a cut on his Achilles during the 0-0 draw against Southampton at St Mary's last month and has missed the Blues' last three games.
However, Dunn has had the stitches removed from the wound and is expected to step-up his training next week which should see him in contention for a return to first team action in next weekends away game against his former club at Ewood Park.
