Eaden enjoying life at Wigan

Last updated : 16 October 2002 By Brian Cartlidge
The former Barnsley defender, who has not played in the first-team for Blues since January, has impressed staff at Wigan during the five games he has appeared in and has expressed an interest in prolonging his stay at the JJB Stadium.

Eaden told the Wigan Observer: "I spoke to the manager after the game on Saturday at Plymouth and he said he wants to sort something out for me this week.

"Whether that is another loan deal or a permanent one I don't know yet so I'll have to wait and see.

"If the offer was right I would definately sign it. But until I sit down with the manager I don't know what's going to happen.

"I would like to stay here. I've enjoyed it so far and settled in well.

"Wigan are a good side who like playing football and it would be nice to be a part of it."

Eaden is is due to play his last game of a one month loan spell at Wigan in their game this weekend against Stockport County.
