Eaden set for Wigan loan move

Last updated : 19 September 2002 By Brian Cartlidge
Signed on a free transfer from Barnsley by former Blues boss Trevor Francis, Eaden has not played a first team game for Blues this season.

Eaden played in the reserves match with Everton at Solihull on Wednesday night and was substituted in the second half.

He follows three other Blues players currently out on loan deals, Tom Williams (QPR; season-long), Jerry Gill (Northampton Town) and Tommy Mooney (Stoke City).

Blues boss Steve Bruce said: "It's an opportunity for Nicky to play regular first-team football. It will be of benefit to him and us if we need to call him back."
