Former Blues keeper Richard Kingson has joined Wigan Athletic.

The 30-year-old Ghana international keeper has signed a three-year deal at The JJB Stadium where he will team-up once again with former Blues boss Steve Bruce.

Bruce signed Kingston at the start of the 2007-08 season but he failed to hold down a regular place in the Blues side and after making just three first team appearance's he was released at the end of last season.

"He's a really decent keeper, you don't play nearly 60 times for one of the top 20 nations in the world without having something about you and I think he'll add real competition to the squad here," Bruce told the official Wigan Athletic website.
