Additionaly, both Villa and Blues have been charged with failure to control their players following a mass confrontation following Gudjonsson's dismissal for an horrendous tackle on Blues centre-back Matthew Upson towards the end of the local derby at Villa Park on the 3rd March.
In both cases, the club and the player have 14 days to respond to the charges.
