Fans Favourite Off To Rovers

Enckelman became a firm favourite with the Blues fans after his much publicised howler in the local derby between Blues and Villa at St. Andrews last season which Blues won 3-0.

He also came in for criticism for Blues second goal in the reverse fixture at Villa Park when Geoff Horsfield scored Blues' all-important second goal in the 2-0 win.

The Finland international keeper had been on loan at Ewood Park for the past two months and returned to St. Andrews to loud applause from the Blues fans when Rovers visited the shrine for a Premier League game back in December.

He was not in the Blackburn squad for the FA Cup tie last saturday because his loan deal had expired on the Friday evening. Blackburns first bid for the keeper was rejected but they have now been reported to have had a second bid to sign Enckelman on a permanent deal accepted by Villa.

We wish him well and thank him for his asistance in us taking six points off the Villa last season!
